PRESS RELEASE – SIDNEY JOYNER PLEA
On January 15, 2015,
Sidney Joyner, 25, entered a plea of guilty to Criminal Possession of a Forged
Instrument in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony, in Ulster County Court. On July 25, 2014, Joyner, a resident of the
Bronx, entered Nekos-Dedrick’s Pharmacy in uptown Kingston and attempted to
pass forged prescriptions for Oxycodone, Promethazine and Flexeril. After a brief foot pursuit, Joyner was
arrested by members of Kingston Police Department. He was found to be in possession of
additional forged prescriptions and Oxycodone.
The matter was adjourned for sentencing until February 19, 2015 at 1:00
p.m.
