Press Release - Jared Dutcher, Convicted of Domestic Violence

RE:  PRESS RELEASE – JARED DUTCHER, CONVICTED OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

On February 17, 2015 Jared Dutcher of Saugerties, New York, pled guilty to Criminal Contempt 1st and was sentenced to 1 and 1/4 - 3 years in state prison. In addition the court issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim and two children which the victim and defendant have in common.
Defendant has prior assault and criminal contempt second degree convictions regarding this same victim, as well as 2002 assault and criminal contempt second convictions regarding a different victim.
In this matter the Town of Saugerties Court had issued an order of protection for the victim which the defendant violated in a domestic violence incident during which the children in question were present.

The case was prosecuted by Sr. Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth A. Culmone-Mills.  The defendant was prosecuted by attorney Majer Gold of the Ulster County Public Defender’s Office.
