DISTRICT ATTORNEY D. HOLLEY
CARNRIGHT ANNOUNCES: JURY CONVICTS KINGSTON MAN OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENTAL
ADMINISTRATION
Fabian
Marshall, 27, was found guilty of Obstructing Governmental Administration
following a jury trial that began November 1, 2017.
The
case against Marshall arose in September of 2015. Members of Kingston Police
Department responded to a report of an assault on Broadway. Officers attempted
to interview Marshall, who was in the same area of the reported assault and
matched the description of the assailant. Marshall refused to comply with
officers requests, became uncooperative, and fought with officers. The fight
prevented officers from investigating the assault further.
The
case was presided over by the Honorable Judge Lawrence Ball. Marshall will be
sentenced on January 8, 2018.
The
case is being prosecuted by Ulster County Assistant District Attorney Jarrid E.
Blades. The defendant is represented by Raymond Sprowls, Esq.
